Today it rains. I ate nachos for breakfast and perused the waivers and photo release templates that Renee from General sent me. She couldn’t give me personal legal advice, but said I could use the forms as guidelines and customize them for my workshop(s). The redundancy of legal jargon got on my nerves.

The template was expectedly embedded with a general sense of mistrust and proprietary language that was somewhat grating. Yes I’d like to own my images and videos. No, these participants don’t have the proper training and they don’t need to.

Given my inexperience, I’m not sure whose interests I am protecting? Whose ass am I covering? Mine, RISD’s, Bay View, the faculty who are my collaborators, the venue owner’s?

Mom came for me at 10:15am.

I think I came down with her cold so we spent the car ride talking about it. I’m back in Swansea to take another pass at Auntie Martha’s basement. I had eyed some ULINE tip-out bins yesterday but left them behind because they were securely mounted to the wall. I’ve returned with an electric power drill to take those puppies down and hopefully repurpose them for my project.
